Farmer in the Making

George…History of the Name George. From the Greek name Georgios which was derived from the Greek word Georgos meaning “farmer, earthworker”.

We did not name George because of it’s meaning but it is sort of funny.  Steve is still planting corn.  In fact he just got back into the field after being rained out for a week.  George went with me one day to take Steve seed.  He was home sick from school but felt good enough to farm. :)

So off we went to take Steve seed. When we get there, he is watching out the window. He was just WAITING ever so patiently for Steve to ask if he wanted to help.  Steve finally makes it up to the pickup window & starts to ask George if he wanted to help.  He hopped out so fast, Steve wasn’t even done asking.  Too cute.  A day or two later, I had to take Steve seed again.  It was after school.  I was just going to run & leave the kids here. George INSISTED he go to HELP.

He was so proud of himself HELPING dad! He really wants to farm when he gets big he said.  This is good practice for him.  My little farmer in the making.

Boy is he growing up! The last time I saw Cole he told me that he too wants to be a farmer just like dad! Sound like it is going to run in the family. Such great kids you have. Love them!
